A
new and innovative instrumental group has recently formed
to bring a new style of music to the acoustic audience palatte.
Lisle Crowley and Robin Keith are the High Desert Duo. Mr.
Crowley is the composer and guitarist for the group while
Mrs. Kieth interprets the music on the cello. Their ecclectic
program features many styles from Bach classics to Jazz
standards to original compositions with a contemporary feeling.
The delightful aspect of this group is their wonderful diversity
of sublime, emotional musical lines to funky rhythms and
tunes.
Their performances have been throughout
Arizona and Utah including the Dammeron Valley Steak House
and Utah Arts Festival. Looking to expand their audience,
they have a new CD, which is out now, that contain their
original works. Audiences have enjoyed both their great
music and stage antics of humor. An couple of hours of pleasure
is the concerts of the High Desert Duo.
Bio-
Robin
Keith is a seasoned cellist of over
30 years. Having recently moved to St. George, she is currently
employed by Washington County Schools and formally of Tuacahn
Center for the Arts. She is principle Cellist of the Southwest
Symphony and has joined with Kristine Palmer to form a Suzuki
school for Violin and Cello called "4 Pegs and Rosin Dust."
She is a member of MENC, UEA, UMEA,
SAA, ASTA, and NEA.
She proudly
boasts to be the mother of 6 children who are also musicians
and currently resides with them and her husband, Stephen,
in St. George, UT.
She met Lisle
at Tuacahn Center for the Arts and they have performed for
QVC, Snow College, Eastern Arizona College, St. George Tabernacle
and Opera House, "Rolands" Guitar Gallery, and
the Prominade.
